Arturo Coronado Jimenez

January 16, 1947 — March 19, 2024

In memory of Arturo Coronado, of La Vega, Dominican Republic, who passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on March 19, 2024, in Clermont, Florida.  He was born on January 16, 1947, to Jose Dolores Coronado and Rosa Emilia Jimenez in Sabana del Puerto, Bonao, Dominican Republic.  Arturo married Juana Medina Pimentel on June 19, 1971, in New York City and was a loving and faithful husband to his wife for 53 years.  He dedicated his life to Christ closer to 50 years ago.  Graduated from Biblical Institute in New York and actively evangelized on Saturday mornings. He served his churches as a bus driver, treasurer and actively took part in singing his favorite hymns and “coritos”.  He dedicated his life as a handy man/maintenance porter.   He enjoyed his profession and all his prior employers found him to be a hard and diligent worker.  Arturo was a man of few words, strict but yet sensible and tenderhearted.  Loved being in his home and the outdoors and found delight in brewing daily cups of fresh coffee at 5 am, gardening, hanging out in his garage, completing projects with his power tools, playing dominoes, watching baseball, running to different food pantries, cooking meals, making different favorite limbers, walking grandkids to and from the bus stop, listening to music, and an avid animal lover. One of his favorite animals is the Macaw Parrot or as he would say “Cuca”. He also loved cats or as he would call them “Mishu”.

His biggest passion was to have a large family.   His love and devotion were to his wife Juana and 6 children Arody, Benny, Christian, Dave, Esther and his stepson Frank who he raised as his own since the age of 4 years old.  He cherished his daughters-in-law Cynthia and Yadiraliz and accepted them as his own daughters.  A loving and affectionate grandfather to his grandchildren David, Benny Arturo and wife Yahzilamileth, Javier, Janiris, Destiny and husband Ivan Jr., Yazivette, Jonas, Daniel, Jason, Jeidalis, Jordan, Emily and of course his furry grandson Melo.   He was tender and warmhearted with his great grandchildren Shiloh and Enzo.  He was excited about the expansion of his legacy with the future arrival of his 3rd great grandchild baby Luna.

Arturo is preceded in death by his father Jose Dolores Coronado, his mother Rosa Emilia Jimenez, his brother Luis Coronado, his sister Gladys Coronado Peña, and his niece Elena Fausto Coronado.  He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Lucia Coronado, and his many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended families and loving friends.

All that loved Arturo are invited to the Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home in Winter Garden, FL at12 p.m. Monday, March 25th, 2024, to reminisce and honor his life.   His Pastor Ernest Portalatin of ICP Clermont Church will be officiating the service.  A burial will follow at Orlando Memorial Gardens at 2:30 p.m.   Pallbearers will be his sons’ Frankie Baez, Benny, Christian, and Dave Coronado.

Arturo's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a devoted Christian and family man, hard worker, an organized, considerate, empathetic individual and respectable to all.  We love you forever and always Papa!
