Betty Barron

June 21, 1932 — October 22, 2016

Betty Jo Barron was born June 21, 1932, the seventh of eight children, to Joseph and Zeph Barron in Unadilla, Georgia. One boy and seven girls were born to this union. Betty Jo's sisters were Hazel, Inez, Louise, Virginia, Barbara and June. Bishop was her only brother.
At 8:58am on Saturday, October 22, 2016, Betty Jo departed from this life at Winter Garden, Florida. She was 84. She is survived by one sibling, her sister Barbara of Cantonment, Florida.
In 1936, during the Depression, the Barron family left Georgia and moved to Ocoee, Florida-where less than 600 people lived-to farm.
For reasons unknown to us, as an infant Betty Jo suffered afflictions of mind and body, but her spirit was not quenched. Although she could not run and play with other children, the Lord was pleased to grace Betty Jo with twelve sets of seven years of life. Seven is the number of wholeness and completeness.
In the Bible, we are told that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Jesus said, "Let not your hearts be troubled," because "I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, you may be also." He promised to give rest to the weary, to carry our burdens, to walk with us and talk with us. Betty Jo and the Lord now walk and talk daily in His garden, a place where there is no tear or sorrow.

On each side of the river stood the Tree of Life,
Bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month.
And the leaves are for the healing of the nations.

The Throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city,
And his servants will serve him. They will see his face,
And his name shall be on their foreheads.

Now, Betty Jo lives in a mansion the Lord prepared for her.
