Betty Stone

Betty S. Stone, 78, of Ocoee, passed away October 27, 2017 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late William Foster Hood and Essie Vera Hood and the spouse of the late John A. Stone. She was born on October 2, 1939 in Luverne, Alabama and moved to Florida in 1950. On December 22, 1957, she married John A. Stone.

She is survived by her three children, Jimmy A. Stone, Judith Sue Dorton and Jeffrey Allen Stone, all of Ocoee; three brothers, James Hood, Robert Hood and Sam Richard Hood; four grandchildren, John Stone, Joseph Stone, Travis Dorton and Faith Stone; and one great granddaughter, Chevy Stone. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Willy Lamar Hood and grand daughter, Peggy Sue Dorton. She had many loved family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017, 11am at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home in Winter Garden. Interment will take place in Ocoee Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, November 2, 2017 from 5-8pm at the Funeral Home.
