Cynthia Forbes

October 8, 1932 — May 26, 2021

Cynthia M. Forbes, aka Cynthia May Kerr, a devoted Christian, joined her heavenly family on May 26, 2021. She passed quickly and peacefully at her home in Orlando, FL. surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years old.

Cynthia was born in Falmouth Trelawny, Jamaica, West Indies, to parents MaryAnn Campbell and Ernest Augustus Montgomery Stewart, both of whom have predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her late husband, Hewin Kerr, and her sons Franklin and Richard. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Wilmott Forbes. Also surviving Cynthia is daughter Juliette Walker; son Harold Kerr and wife Tina; twin sons Keith and Kenneth Kerr, including Kenneth's wife Ruth; daughter Cheryl Kerr and special friend Carolyn. Cynthia is also survived by her brother Joslyn Grizzle and her aunts Lucille and Adella. Cynthia had quite an extensive family tree, including an outstanding fifth generation at the time of her passing. Also celebrating her life are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of cousins in England, Jamaica and the United States.

Cynthia would often recall fond memories of her role as a switchboard operator at the Supreme Court in Jamaica. She also was a caring and dedicated health care worker for many years, caring for patients at Riverside Healthcare Facility in Connecticut until she retired.

She loved to sing with her sweet angelic voice, loved the Lord and served Him well. With a deep love for family, she had an inseparable bond with her mother, aka "Next Mother", whom she resided with and took care of for many years. She enjoyed hosting holiday get-togethers and

always cooked enough to feed anyone who might stop by unannounced. She loved to bake and mail cakes to family members. She loved to recall the birth of the twins. She had a deep love for plants and caring for them. Cynthia was thorough and had a remarkable trait of taking care of financial affairs with great detail so as not to be burdensome to her family. She fought a good fight with her illness and held on tightly as long as she could to be with her family. Cynthia's earthly family is comforted knowing that their matriarch is with her heavenly family.

As she stands at the gates of heaven, she will undoubtedly be welcomed with open arms, and her greeting will be something like this, "Well done, My good and faithful servant. You have arrived at last."
