Our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and friend to many, Daniel Eric Gothe, passed away suddenly of an aortic dissection in the early hours of March 24th 2026 in Orlando, Florida.
Daniel is survived by his loving parents Peter and Donna Gothe, his precious sisters and their families; Sarah and Dennys Dias with Lyla, Kayli, Evelyn, Ashley, Brianna, Braden and Tyler; Leah and Shane Mandarino with Vylet. As well as his Aunt Elaine and Uncle Malcolm and cousins Amanda and Spencer. As well as dear Aunt Andrea.
Dan was a walking ray of sunshine, making everyone's life brighter with his presence. He cared deeply, loved hard, exuded joy, brought smiles and laughter and lived fully. He was always up for an adventure, the glass was always half full, he was the epitome of seize every moment and stop and smell the roses. He truly made friends everywhere he went. He could find the commonality with all.
His life long profession as a DJ continued to bring joy and smiles to others even in his vocation. He worked to bring about happiness. He thrived in seeing others be brought together through music. His love for music was so large, you don't know Dan without knowing his obsession for the band Oasis. He was his happiest while belting out the biggest hits of his favourite bands and singers.
Dan was also an incredible uncle and brother, he was the funniest and would crack any joke he could just to get a laugh. He was so good at physical comedy, he was a big kid at heart through all the years, he would play all the games his nieces wanted even coming up with his own ideas for them to play. He had such a beautiful childlike wonder that he could find the joy in all things.
Dan attended Georgetown district high school, working after Dj'ing at local ProShooters pool hall before applying to serve a full time mission in the Washington D.C north mission, giving of his time to continue to bring service and joy to others. He then went on to attend university at BYU-Idaho, went to the Disney college program from there, transferred locally to Valencia college and continuing his employment at Disney World, as he was an avid movie buff and loved that industry. He found so much adventure at Disney World, had seasons passes for many many years and just enjoyed the lively atmosphere. He really did live every day to the fullest!
We will miss dear Dan, and hope to carry on his life legacy of being hopeful and kind and joyous!
Til we meet again the best there ever was,
Love your forever Family ♥️
