Elizabeth Ann Michael

March 22, 1941 — January 17, 2024

Elizabeth Ann Michael, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 17 2024 in Apopka, Florida. She was born on March 22, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth was a kind-hearted and loving woman who touched the lives of everyone she knew. Her grandchildren affectionately called her "Gigi," a testament to the special bond they shared. Elizabeth had a vivacious personality and had a knack for cracking jokes that would brighten any room. She had a quick wit and could always bring a smile to the faces of those around her.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting beautiful creations and baking delicious cookies. These hobbies allowed her to channel her creativity and share her talents with others. Elizabeth's loved ones will treasure the many crocheted pieces and homemade treats she gifted them over the years.

One of Elizabeth's proudest accomplishments was her enduring marriage of 36 years to her late husband, Russell Michael Jr., who preceded her in death. Their love was a shining example of commitment and devotion.

Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: her son Russell Michael and his wife Sharon; her daughter Lisa Barie and her husband Dwaine; her grandchildren Abigail, Kristian, Gabriel, and Josh. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister Cathy Ferguson [George] and brother Steven Scherm [Linda].

She is now reunited with her late husband Russell Jr., as well as her sisters Mary Lee Mellon and Louise Ruby. They will forever remain in the hearts of those they left behind.

Services to honor Elizabeth's life will take place at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home located at 1148 E Plant St in Winter Garden, Florida. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on January 21, 2024. A funeral service will follow from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
