Ernest Linsley

Ernest “Junior” Linsley, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away on September 30, 2023, in Orlando, FL at the age of 84.

The son of James “Red” Linsley and Ernestine Butler, Junior grew up in Aspermont, Texas along with his two sisters Gaye & Kaye. He was born April 30, 1939, and attended Aspermont High School.

At the age of 19, Junior enlisted in the United States Air Force. He valued this service highly and served our country for 6 years. He was stationed in Orlando, FL at McCoy Air Force Base, where he met his wife, Joyce. Junior and Joyce continued to live in Orlando and raised 10 children and were married for 58 years.

Junior is survived by his wife, Joyce Linsley, sister, Kaye Lanham, daughters Sherry Mace (Sam), Terri Adkins, Tracy Carlson (Chris), Dee Dee Gibson, Janel Dombrowski (Patrick), Kyra Linsley and Kiki Turner (Austin), and sons, Keith Linsley, Fredrick Linsley and Terrance Linsley. Ernest is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

His loved ones will remember him as a loving Husband, Dad, Paw Paw, Brother, and Uncle who was passionate about his family, CB Radios (His CB Handle was “Texas T”), and his Dallas Cowboys Football team.

Ernest aka Junior, June Bug, Dad, Paw Paw, will be laid to rest on Thursday November 30th, 2023 at 11:30am at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery located at 5525 U S Highway 1, N, Mims, FL  32754.
