Gerardo Acevedo Olmeda, 75, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025.
He was born on April 9, 1950 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Gerardo Olmeda and Salvadora Acevedo. Gerardo was a true people person and a loyal friend to many. He was a dedicated family man who had a passion for music and dancing. Gerardo will be truly missed.
He is survived by two daughters; Leticia Olmeda and Melissa Olmeda, grandchildren Joshua Figueroa, Julian Simmons, Jayden Aviles, great grandchildren Jenoah and Josiah.
He was predeceased by his wife, Maria Migdalia Olmeda in 2024.
A visitation will be held from 7PM to 9PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 E. Plant St., Winter Garden, FL. During the visitation, a service will be held beginning at 7:30PM.
Graveside committal will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Fl.
