James Elbert Hardy, 92, of Ocoee, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 12th, 2020.
James was born on November 30th, 1927 to parents Elbert Lynch Hardy and Ada Mae Hardy in Lawrence County, Tennessee. He attended Arab High School in Arab, Alabama before serving his country in the Army.
James was a devout man who attended Victory Baptist Church in Ocoee. He also enjoyed hunting through flea markets, gardening, and his favorite team, the Gators.
He is survived by a large, loving family, including his wife, Marcia Hardy; son, Jeff; daughters Janet (Joe) and Julie; sisters, Elaine and Chloe; daughter-in-law, Vicki; granddaughter, Jessica (Adam); grandsons Joe (Kandi), Jason, Aaron, and David; great-granddaughters Taylor, Ophelia, and Lola; great-grandsons James, Corbin, Bryson, and Jaiden; as well as Rocky, James's beloved pet beagle.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Lynch Hardy and Ada Mae Hardy; sisters, Etna and Etha; and brothers, Fonda, Millard, Alvis, and Billy.
The Hardy family would like to extend a special thanks to Health Central, Health Central Park, Quality Healthcare, and Cornerstone Hospice for the care they gave James. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
James' memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 18th, 2020 at Victory Baptist Church (1601 A.D. Mims Road, Ocoee, Florida).
