January 18, 1946 — June 29, 2025

Kathryn Geraldine Torbett (nee Priest) passed away on June 29, 2025, and has gone to be with her Lord. She was pre-deceased by her Parents, William Guy and Lydia Kate Priest (nee Brown), Brother William Priest, by her Sister, Carlene Adkins (nee Priest), and her son, Mark Shaffer.

Kathryn is survived by her sisters Dorris (Dee) Edwards (Glenn), Elouise (Ellie) Michael, Helen Rendulic (Paul), Myra Priest, Grandsons Marcus and Mathew Schaffer.

Kathryn was born in Jackson, Alabama, on January 18, 1946. She lived and worked most of her life in Huntsville, Alabama, before moving to Clermont, Florida, to be close to her sister Helen. Kathryn loved life and those who loved her. Her family and many friends loved her.

The viewing will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10:30 am-11:00 pm at the Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 East Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787, and A Celebration of Life Service at 11:45 am at Orlando Memorial Gardens, 5264 Ingram Road, Apopka, FL 32703.
