Kathy Sue McIntire

Funeral service for Kathy Lacy McIntire, 67 who passed away at home on May 15, 2023 will be held at 4PM, Friday June 30, at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service and begin at 3PM.

Kathy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristle and Gary Cero, two granddaughters Savanna and Sydnee, Norman OK; brother, Kenneth Lacy, Cumming, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann and Bill Morrin, Montverde, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathy was born September 13, 1955, in Russellville, KY to Harold and Myrhl Lacy (Watford). She was the youngest of 5 children. She is preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Lonnie Lacy and Richard (Dickie) Lacy both of Orlando, FL.

Kathy moved to Orlando, Florida in 1967, and the age of 12. When she was 16 she became employed at Burger Chef in Orlando where she made lifelong friends who also became her extended family. She later moved to Winter Garden, FL and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1973.

Summer of 1973 she became a Walt Disney World cast member at Reedy Creek. This was the start of a thirty-three year career at Disney, which she ended as an Executive Administrative Assistant for the Vice President of Disney Development Company. She loved spending time with family and friends and was always ready for a game of cards or most other games. Kathy loved Caesar, her dog of 14 years; he became her supportive companion who gave her great company and enjoyment.

Kathy was loved deeply by friends and family and will be forever missed.
