Kenneth Cabiness

Kenneth Ned Cabiness Jr, affectionately called Kenny by those who knew him, passed away on July 22, 2019. Born in Lincolnton, North Carolina to parents Kenneth and Carolyn Cabiness, Kenny was a well-known resident of Apopka, FL for much of his life.

Kenny never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He became friends with everyone he met, especially those working at Circle K, who knew him well thanks to his love of Polar Pops. You could often find him enjoying a walk to get his drink, carrying a radio and listening to K92 FM.

Kenny is survived by his sister, Debra Roop (Bubby); uncles Wayne Cabiness and Sonny Cabiness (Gail), Neal Cabiness (Lydia), and Tim Cabiness (Nina); nephews Eric Dewayne Roop and Brian Wayne Roop; and 16 cousins. Preceding him in death are his parents; uncles Steve Cabiness and Allen Cabiness (Bea); and aunt Ann Cabiness.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019, in the Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 2:30.
