Celebrating the Life of:
Lynda Karen Cole
April 2, 1956 - October 29, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lynda Karen Cole, who went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2025. Lynda resided in Ocoee, Florida.
Lynda was born on April 2, 1956, in Mountain Home, Idaho, to Johnny Fortson and Miriam Johnson. She graduated from Miami Killian Senior High School in 1974 and later made her home in the Orlando area, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and love - touching countless hearts along the way. For over 25 years, she worked at Lake Bennett Health and Rehabilitation, where she was known for her dedication, kindness, and genuine care for others.
A devoted Christian, Lynda's faith was the foundation of her life. She loved deeply, cared endlessly, and always put her family and friends first.
Lynda was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her Mother Miriam Johnson; her children, Joni Walsh (husband Andres Walsh) and Corey Fusco (wife Rosemary Fusco); her cherished grandchildren, Austin, Savannah, and Adysen Rey; her brother, John Fortson (wife Jynifer Fortson); and Lynda's loving partner, Brian Lee. Her family was her greatest joy, and the love she shared with them will live on forever.
Lynda will always be remembered for her generous heart, her laughter, and her unwavering love for her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 12 Noon at First Baptist Orlando, in the Marie Williams Chapel. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and celebrating Lynda's beautiful life and legacy.
