Marilyn Warren

January 10, 1928 — December 6, 2018

Marilyn Gollehon Warren, born January 10, 1928, passed from this world to her heavenly home December 6, 2018 . Marilyn and her sister, Wanda Gollehon Gardenhire, were born to Joseph and Mary Gollehon in the small town of Dimmitt, Texas . The Gollehons were one of the founding families of this small but crucial farming and ranching community located in the northwestern plains of Texas.

After high school, Marilyn worked towards a business degree at Texas Tech College in Lubbock, then returned to Dimmitt where she taught piano until a high school classmate introduced her to one of her brothers. Lewis Warren, an airman just returning from WWII, swept her off her feet and within a few months they began life's journey together. Lewis took her away from her Texas roots and transplanted her in the Orlando, Florida area in 1960.

Leaving their family and friends behind, they joined hands and began to raise their young family in Pine Hills. Marilyn and Lewis, because of their love for young people and for music, began leadership positions at the Pine Hills Baptist Church.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her sister, mother and father, her husband Lewis, two children, Lanola and Joylyn Blasko , and her granddaughter Danetta Blasko. Marilyn leaves behind her son Joe Warren, his wife Debbie, her daughters Cinda Arthur and Nila Pitts, and her husband Gary Pitts. Along with her children, Marilyn leaves 10 grandchildren and their spouses and 19 great grandchildren.

This legacy of love, this example of a Godly woman, a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother will forever be stamped on the heart of those who knew her and loved her.
