Melvin Worth

Melvin G Worth (63) of Groveland, Fl, suffered from complications of Frontalobe Dementia and passed away on December 27, 2023, surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

Melvin, fondly known as Mel, was born to Mrytis and Marvin Worth, on May 23, 1960. Mel loved to be outside gardening, going to car races, short fishing trips and loved football. GO GATORS!! Mel worked for Disney 35 years. He did many different jobs with Disney like working on the golf course and repairing fences and roadways. He was a laborer.

Mel is survived by his wife Joni and two children Jennifer and Melvin (Bubba) with their significate others Ed and Chrissy. Mel had 12 grandchildren Alex, Nina, Lily, Haley, Codey, Jacey, Tobias, Sebastian, William, Mia, Andrw and Ella. Mel also had 2 great granddaughters Skyla and Raina. Mel had two sisters and one brother Marie, BettyJean and Veron. Mel was predeceased by his parents Myrtis and Marvin and oldest daughter Crystal.

Apart from his love with gardening and football, Mel was very passionate about his family. Mel took really good care of his mother Mrytis, whom also passed with complications from dementia in 2014. Mel dearly loved his family and always enjoyed family time with all of them, especially around the holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mel and Joni always made Christmas special for his kids and grandchildren. With his passing so close to Christmas, Mel was unable to facilitate Christmas this past year. His wife Joni and children Jennifer and Melvin (Bubba) and all grandchildren came together and made it special. All were together in his hospice room surrounded by family, food, laughter and joy to be close and give Mel his enjoyment with Christmas. Family even pulled off and had Santa come and visit Mel and family to make it even more special. Memory that they will always cherish and hold dear to their hearts.
