Merle is survived by Betty Corbitt - wife of 48 years; daughter- Leslie Fuqua and Dan Fuqua - son-in-law, grandson - Jared Fuqua and Kathy Fuqua - granddaughter-in-law; sister - Quetta Sullivan-Smith and Lon Smith - brother-in-law; brothers - Van Corbitt, Larry Corbitt, and Terry Corbitt; sister-in-laws - Pam Corbitt, Charlene Corbitt and Judy Corbitt; sister-in-law, Patsy Corbitt Hodges; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Merle is preceded in death by Paul J. Corbitt - father, Eva Corbitt - mother, Paul A. Corbitt-brother.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
