Robert Wood

Robert Lee Wood died peacefully on Tuesday December 21, 2021.  He was born in Enterprise, Alabama to Homer and Janie Wood on December 18, 1931.  He was oldest of 8 children. In his younger years, he was an avid fisherman and loved to be in a boat every chance he got.  He fished with his brothers, friends kids and grandkids.  I’m sure they could tell you a few fish tales too.  He loved his family.  He was married to the love of his life, Gladys Blanchard on May 20, 1954.  They had 4 children, Debbie Treadway of Gotha, FL, Cathy Sanders of Sanford, FL, Allan Wood of Bethpage, TN and Robert Dale whom passed away at the age of 8mo old.  He was called Papa by his 4 grandchildren, Kim Sanders, Shawn Treadway, Kevin Sanders, and Bobby Wood,  and 5 great grandchildren, Chandler Treadway, Colin Treadway, Evan Tresca, Emilee Tresca and Miracle Wood. After the love of his life passed away, he remarried an old family friend, Betty Jean Hall.  They were married for 9months before she passed away.  His surviving Brother and Sisters are Mable Stokes of San Antonio, TX, Marjorie Thomasson of  Ocoee, FL, Ray Wood of Plant City and Carolyn Hall of Ocoee, FL.  He is proceeded in death by his brothers and sisters:  Betty Galloway, Nell Barna, and James Wood, Wives: Gladys and Betty Wood; Son Robert Dale Wood.   We rest easy knowing that they were all there to meet him with open arms at the Pearly Gates of Heaven.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Park Ridge Baptist Church with a visitation at 11AM and Funeral Service starting at 12PM. Following the Funeral Service will be a Graveside Interment at Ocoee Cemetery at 2PM.
