Ronald Paul Denault Jr

May 24, 1972 — May 18, 2026

Ronald Paul Denault Jr., beloved brother and uncle, passed away at his home in Oviedo, Florida, on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was 53 years old.

Ron was born in Westerly, Rhode Island on May 24, 1972 to Ronald and Marie (Giamo) Denault. He attended Stonington High School and was a member of the SHS Golf,Debate team and the National Honor Society. He graduated with honors. He studied at Providence College for his undergraduate degree. He then enrolled in the University of Connecticut to study law. He received his Juris Doctor from UCONN and successfully passed the bar exam.

Ron worked in Newington, Connecticut for over 20 years at the law firm of Peter J. Boorman. He specialized in elder care law, trusts and estates as well as probate. He worked tirelessly in service of the elderly population, advocating for compassionate care, dignity, and respect. He ensured that seniors he engaged with were treated with kindness and humanity through every stage of aging. His commitment extended especially to end-of-life care, where he provided comfort, reassurance, and a steady presence during life's most vulnerable moments. Ron touched many lives, leaving behind a legacy of empathy, service, and profound respect for the dignity of every individual.

In 2021, he moved to Florida to be closer to family. He joined Fairwinds Credit Union in their Legal Compliance department and was recently promoted to Senior Legal Compliance Specialist for the bank. Ron cherished his time at Fairwinds where he felt valued, formed meaningful connections with colleagues and took pride in participating in community and volunteer initiatives.

Though Ron moved to Florida in 2021, the distance did nothing to diminish the deep roots he left behind in New England. He belonged to a core group of friends whose bonds spanned over 45 years-a group where friendship truly became family. Ron always had a home to come back to in Connecticut, and Ron made sure that his friends always had a home waiting for them in Florida. Ron was the very definition of a true friend: incredibly honest, fiercely loyal, dependable and someone you could trust implicitly. His presence will be permanently missed by the lifelong friends who were able to share his life with him.

Ron was a prolific traveler. He planned to visit all 50 U. S. states and their territories. After a recent trip to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, he was getting close to completing that goal. He was an avid reader and always had a book in hand. He was especially fond of science fiction. He had an extensive library of books and classic movies. He was always available for a round of cards, table top game night, online gaming sessions or a round of mini golf.

Family was the most important part of Ron's life. He is survived by his sister, Michele (Denault) Seibel and her husband Michael of Orlando, Florida, his niece Madison Lange of New York City, his uncle and aunt Walter and Gail Sheldon of Pawcatuck, CT, his uncle Norman Denault and aunts Diane Puglisi, Paula Smith and Denise Smith of Merrimac, Massachusetts
and his cousins Lynette and Brian Duffell and their sons Chase and Dylan of Bronxville, NY.
