Russell Adams

Adams, Russell Clark, 84 of Ocoee, FL was taken to his eternal home by the will of God on March 27, 2014. Born in Bartow, FL on August 28, 1929, Russell was a fourth generation of the pioneer McAuley Clan. He was reared in Fort Meade through High School. A member of Starke Lake Baptist Church and Ocoee Christian Church in Ocoee, FL, Russell was a veteran of the Merchant Marines and the US Army where he served with honor and distinction in 26 countries on 5 continents. He was a graduate cum laude of Valencia College and Florida Technical College. Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia June, his faithful son Gordon Furnace Adams, dearest friend Myna Lou Gardner and his brother, Gordon Bubba Adams. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Ann his children, Robert Ramsey Wife Deborah Adams, Allen Clark Wife Patricia Adams Jennifer Huey, Constance Smith and Roger Reynolds his 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3 from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 4 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, Winter Garden. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the churches that Russell attended.
