Santiago Lopez Colon

Santiago "Chago" López Jr was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Jr passed away on May 19, 2021 at the age of 79 in his home, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest and remembering him all the days of their lives. Life won't be the same without our beloved Pops.

Santiago moved to the states from Puerto Rico to establish a better life for himself. Through hard work and determination, he succeeded working at the Hostess Company as a foreman. He was married to his love Irma, for 37 years. She will cherish all the laughter and joy.
He enjoyed the friendship of many people, playing dominoes, watching boxing and old western movies/shows. Game shows like, The Price is Right or Let's Make a Deal. He loved Dancing with the Stars and loved spending time with his family, eating bread and chips.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irma; his children- Santiago IV (Jessica) and Linda (Angel); his stepchildren- Benjamín (Maria), Lynette (Jose) and Nellie; his grandchildren- Amarelis, Aryanna, Marilynn, Desiree, Isabel, Xiomara, Xadriana, Xariah, Santiago V, Alexis, Raymond, Luis, Jeremy, Austin and his great grandchildren- Shaily, Alaia, Penelope and Avery.

We will miss him everyday. Until we meet again RIH Pops!
When asked.... "Pops you good?"
he would say and gesture (thumbs up)
"Good!!"

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 10am at Resurrection Catholic Church.  The family will receive friends following the service from 11:30-3pm at the funeral home.  The family will also receive friends Monday, May 24, 2021, from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
