Shannon Mickey
September 27, 1971 — March 7, 2022
Shannon Mickey 50, formerly of Fitchburg, MA., but most recently of Winter Garden Florida, passed away on March 7,2022 after a year long battle with Sarcoma cancer.
Shannon was born in Leominster, Ma. on September 27,1971 the daughter of Catherine(Crawford)McWilliams of Hubbardston, Ma.
In addition to her mother, Shannon is survived by her step father James McWilliams also of Hubbardston, her son Michael Faison and his daughter Aaliyah of Tampa, her daughter Kiara Beasley and her children Gabrielle and Aubrielle of Winter Garden, her brother Todd Mickey and his wife Lisa and their sons Jake and Ryan of Milford, NJ, her half brother Jeromy Mickey and his children Gabriella and Connor of Leominster, MA. as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins and many loving friends.
Shannon fought her cancer with courage, fearlessness and dignity. Never complaining, just with a fierce determination to beat it! But sadly, cancer won that battle.
Shannon attained her GED in 1990 and attended Fisher Jr. College and worked for many years as a Human Resources Representative.
Her greatest joys in life were her son and daughter, whose childhoods she filled with love and trips to beaches, lakes and amusement parks. She was absolutely overwhelmed with pride when her son graduated from college with a degree in engineering and her daughter graduated from nursing school and the births of her three precious granddaughters filled her heart with an abundance of love and joy.
Shannon loved R&B music, Mary J. Blige, karaoke, and musical productions. Grease was her absolute favorite musical and we think that she may have watched it at least 50 times during her life. She also loved roller coasters! The bigger and the scarier the better! She was an avid New England Patriots fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching the games with her Mom and step Dad.
Shannon will be truly missed. Her heart was pure gold and she had the ability to make everyone she encountered feel genuinely loved and accepted.
