Silvia Alves

Silvia Alves, 87, of Winter Garden, died February 20, 2015. Born in Pinho Boticas, Portugal. She moved to Central Florida in 1994, prior to that she lived in New Haven, Connecticut.
She worked for many years as a factory worker. She attended Resurrection Catholic Church.
She is survived by daughters, Maria (Carlos) Gomes, Alda (Antonio) Goncalves, Adelaide Goncalves, Balsemina Martin and son Aurindo Alves; sister, Lucia Alves in Portugal; 11 grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 25 from 4 to 6pm at Collison Carey Hand in Winter Garden. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 26 at 11am at Resurrection Catholic Church, 1211 S. Vineland Road, Winter Garden. Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home is assisting the family.
