Tammy Carson

Tammy Renee Carson (Howell) passed away on May 20, 2026, in Holiday, Florida, at the age of 56. She was born on May 4, 1970, in Melbourne, Florida, and lived most of her life in Central Florida, which she considered home. She loved being surrounded by nature with warm sunshine on her back.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Ben Carson; her daughter, Hayley Marché (Howell) Landingham; her son, Hayden James Carson; her mother, Marshá Coffman; her brothers, Christopher Howell (Kathy) and Gary Coffman; as well as the family she gained through marriage and the friends she made throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her dad, Joe Coffman, and her brother, Christopher Coffman.

She was married for 32 years to her best friend in life. Ben fell in love with Tammy and Hayley at once and together welcomed Hayden a few years later. Together they built a life rooted in partnership, fun, and love.

Being a mother was what she considered the accomplishment of her life. She was so proud of both of her children, who admired her greatly, and was endlessly loyal to them. Her sense of humor lives on in them. She always said, “Being a mother is to have your heart walking around on a string outside your body, forever."

She was the picture of strength, fortitude, and fierce determination. She was intelligent, always thoughtful, and endlessly curious, carrying a lifelong love of reading and learning. She loved deeply, loyally, and without hesitation, leaving an unforgettable mark on the lives and hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Although we say goodbye for now, in a time far too soon for anyone, she will live on through the parts of her that each of us carry always. We will hold tightly to the impression she left upon our hearts through the depth of her words and actions.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home in Winter Garden.
