Obituary

Timothy Reed Whigham, 67, passed away on July 7, 2026.

Tim was born on July 27, 1958, in Winter Garden, Florida. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous heart, and contagious laugh. He was the kind of man who would help anyone whether it was a family member, friend, or stranger. His great sense of humor and easygoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Tim dedicated more than 40 years of his life to working as a truck driver. Wherever he worked, he earned the respect of his supervisors and coworkers through his dependability, honesty, and commitment to doing the job right.

He loved working with his hands, whether he was building something around the house or fixing just about anything. If he didn't know how to do something, he'd proudly attend his favorite "university" YouTube and teach himself. There wasn't much he couldn't figure out.

When he wasn't working, Tim enjoyed watching classic westerns, action movies, and a good horror flick. He was a devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Hurricanes, NASCAR, and especially his favorite driver, Dale Jarrett. One of his greatest passions was fishing. He had a few favorite honey holes where he always hoped to land the biggest bass in the lake. He also loved spending time outdoors, firing up the grill, and sharing his delicious barbecue with family and friends.

Above all else, Tim loved his family. They were the center of his life and his greatest source of pride and joy.

Tim is survived by his children, Timothy Licher (Maggie), Jason Licher, and Miranda Wimmer (Matt); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Makayla, Jacob, Lil Jason, Westin, Declan, and Gavin; his great-granddaughter, Wrenley; and his sisters, Libby, Debbie, and Lisa. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Joanne Whigham; his daughter, Kelly Lee; and his brother, Mike.

A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Carey Hand Collison Funeral Home in Winter Garden, Florida.

Following the service, all family and friends are warmly invited to continue celebrating Tim's life at the home of Timothy and Maggie Licher, where food, drinks, and memories will be shared.

Though Tim will be deeply missed, his laughter, kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
