William Cortes-Colon was a distinguished war veteran who served 20 years in the Army corps of Armed Forces, and another 20 years as a Federal Civilian working for Booz Allen and Northrop Grumman.
He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend – leaving behind his loving wife Buenny, his two sons William the 2nd and Richard, and his two grandchildren Damian and Desiree Cortes. He was a War hero –defending the United States in both Panama and Desert Storm as a United States Army Major. William passed on June 28th 2025 at 1:38 am at Orlando Memorial Regional Hospital. He was just 73 years old and he will never be forgotten.
His love was truly infinite – and he taught us what it meant to be a human being. Our perfect imperfections - our successes, our mistakes, our happiness, our sadness, our joy, our weaknesses, and our strengths – you embodied it all, and now we lay your body to sleep. Live life to the fullest every day, every second that you are alive – don’t forget to laugh after you cry – and always make sure the ones that you love know and feel it. There wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for family. No one loved like him – no one.
To our fallen Hero – we will always love you. Over the Rainbow – is where we will find you one day - we all will.
