Wilton Stokes

Wilton Wilson Stokes, 76, of Groveland, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. He was the son of Buford and Nina Stokes. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 ½ years, Sadie. Their examples of strength and commitment to cherish each other, their family, and friends will live within our hearts and lives forever. He also has, two daughters, Patti (Billy Dees) and Jennifer (Jimmy Conner); two sons, Michael and James; one sister, Mary; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is proceeded by his mother, father, two sisters, and four brothers. Wilton was known for his quality boat company and commercial fishing. For several years, he was a truck driver, hauling fruit, for the Winter Garden Exchange. To his family, he was a jack of all trades, it was believed he could fix or build anything with his own two hands. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 12:00pm. The service begins at 1:00pm officiated by his nephew, Warren Adams. Following the service, will be the burial which will take place at the Oakland Cemetery.
