The world lost a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Bernaldina Perez (Nini), on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Nini battled with dementia, but, it never stopped her from recognizing her loved ones. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She gained her caring and motherly expertise when she had to leave school to help raise her 10 siblings. Yet, she claims to have learned everything she knew from her own loving parents, Juan and Marceliana Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nicasio, both parents and 5 siblings. She is survived by her four children, who made up the entirety of her world: Ronnie, Madeline, Wilson and Renee; Daughter-in-laws: Lydia and Sonja, and Son-in-law: James; Grandchildren: Rick, Joanna, Michelle, Nicole, Matt, DeAnna, RJ, Dominique, Noel, Leslie, and Manny; and 17 Great-grandchildren. Nini is also survived by her sister Rosin; brothers: Mingo, Fidel, Juanito and Victor, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She enjoyed reading, watching baseball and soap operas, dancing, family gatherings, and most of all cooking and caring for those she loved. Also, if you did not behave, she would say that she will punch you in the nose.
Family and friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Nini at the Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 East Plant Street in Winter Garden, FL on May 26, 2021 from 10:00am to departure at 12:15 for the Funeral Memorial Mass to be held in Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 801 N. Hastings, Orlando, FL at 1:00pm, followed by dinner at Rick’s house (address will be provided at the funeral home and at the church).
