Delcie Timson

April 13, 1932 — January 24, 2020

Delcie Faye was born in Washington Court House, Ohio in 1932.  Her parents were Lee and Zona Jordan who raised her and her seven siblings in a rural small community. She loved working outdoors with the boys and had fond memories of their time on the family farm.

She married Malcolm Timson in 1948 and they later moved to Dayton, Ohio, where she spent most of her life. Her children Randall and Susan were her greatest joy.
A natural leader, she had a take charge attitude. She worked in retail management and later went back to school and became a CNA, a skill she was proud to use, caring for family and others, she was always acknowledged for her work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Her passion was serving in church, a lifelong Christian, she enjoyed being a part of her church family and serving in various ways. Whether making candy, teaching Sunday school class, or being the bookkeeper, she truly enjoyed doing her part. She was devoted and committed to God, prayer and her church.
Delcie was a woman of outstanding character. Her kindness and warmth was felt by those she touched. Her closest family and friends will always remember her sense of humor, her tenacity and strength, her unseen ability to stand in the midst of a storm, or how we often found her battling on her knees. She will be missed by her family and friends whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her son Randall L. Timson, her daughter Susan Stansberry, her daughter-in-law Valerie, grandchildren Kelley, Carissa, Tim, Jeremy, great-grandchildren Hannah and MacKenzie, as well as her sister Jane Dooley and her brothers Bill and Floyd Jordan. She is predeceased by her husband Malcolm, her brother Paul and sisters Mae, Zella and Audrey.
