Donald Lindsay

Donald Andrew Lindsay, age 86 of Montverde, FL, passed away in his home on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Born in Burnsville, WV on January 18, 1933 to Lawrence M. and Madeline V. (Posey) Lindsay he graduated from Burnsville High School in WV. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Mae Sumpter on Dec 20, 1953 and very soon after joined the Army. Donald was retired from a full career at BFGoodrich in Akron, OH. He was a longstanding member of the church and dedicated much of his life to the service of others. He loved golf, the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Florida Gators and a good bowl of ice cream. He is survived by brother Jackie Lindsay, daughters Debra Williams and Nancy Myers, along with granddaughters Stephanie Baysinger and Emily Williams, and 2 great-granddaughters.  We celebrate his reunion in Heaven with his beloved wife Shirley and though he will be missed by so many here on Earth we rest in the knowledge that he is rejoicing. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019, 10am visitation hour and 11am service at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home in Winter Garden, FL.
