Obituary

Janice Elaine Crowe, 73 of Astatula, Florida passed away on March 3, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born on March 10, 1946 in Fort Pierce, Florida. The daughter of the late Pevie Lewis and Sadie Peterson. She is survived by her husband William Crowe, daughter Christina Channell, son-in-law Ed Channell, son Mike Crowe, daughter-in-law Honey Crowe; grandchildren Michael (Makenna) Crowe, Matthew Channell, and Hannah Crowe; sisters Janette Hazellief and Inez Fleming; nieces, nephews, and many more loving family members. She is preceded in death by her siblings Denny Peterson, James Peterson, Lester Peterson, Roberta McCullers, Syble Hazellief, Vivian Peterson, and Wayne Peterson.

Janice was a devout Christian who accepted Christ as a young lady and faithfully followed him throughout her entire life. She shared her love of Jesus with her children and grandchildren. Janice was a loving wife, kind mother, and a wonderful grandmother to her lovely grandchildren. You could often find Nanny in the kitchen surrounded by her grandkids sharing her recipes and baking treats with them. She also enjoyed going fishing with family as well as spending summers at the lake house with her sisters playing a fierce game of canasta.

The services will take place on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home (1148 East Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787) beginning with the viewing at 10 a.m. and the service starting at 11a.m. The gravesite service to follow at Orlando Memorial Gardens. At the conclusion of the services, all are welcome to join the family at the home of Mike and Honey Crowe at 14141 Tennessee Avenue, Astatula, FL 34705 for a meal and fellowship
