Peggy Bishop

April 9, 1951 — March 8, 2019

Peggy Jean Bishop, 67, of Leesburg, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 from complications following a pulmonary embolism. She was born April 9, 1951 in Huntingdon, PA to the late Allen and Edith Beaver. Peggy was a graduate of Altoona High School in Altoona, PA. Before moving to Leesburg, Peggy lived in a few places including Altoona, North Ft. Myers, FL, Ashburn, GA, and the Orlando area.
Peggy was a proud Disney employee and retired as a Reservation Sales Agent. She received many awards and much recognition during her 25 years at the Disney Reservation Center including the coveted "Partners In Excellence" the first year it was awarded.
Peggy is survived by her spouse of almost 49 years, William P. "Bill" Bishop; one son, William P. "Paul" Bishop (Kerri); grandchildren, Bradley William and Jacob Paul Bishop; and one sister, JoAlana Kuhn.
Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a beloved friend of many who will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 14 at 12 noon at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home with interment following at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm and Thursday morning from 11 am to 12 noon at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Foundation. The Sunshine Foundation's sole purpose is to answer the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children ages three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to financial strain that the child's illness may cause. www.sunshinefoundation.org
