Robert Alan Jackson born November 20, 1935, died on May 3, 2022 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Greensboro, NC, to Walter Clinton Jackson, Jr. and Helen Clapp Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife and greatest love, Lynn Black Jackson. They married in 1957 and spent 60 happy years together. Bob graduated from North Carolina State University where he played football and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He served his country in the US Army rising to the rank of captain. He worked for several aerospace companies, including Martin Marietta where he served as vice president and general manager of Electronic Systems division. Upon retiring from the aerospace industry, he was president and owner of CNC Grinding Specialties, Inc. An avid golfer his whole life, he enjoyed playing with Lynn and friends. He is survived by sons, Robert Alan Jackson, Jr. (Tyler) and Scott Vance Jackson (Jeanne), four lovely granddaughters and one great-grandson.
A private family celebration/service and internment of ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.
