Timothy Timson

June 15, 1972 — December 8, 2020

Apopka

Timothy Brent Timson was born on June 15, 1972. He left to be with the Lord on December 8, 2020.  Timothy was known by many names. To the world, he was known as Timothy Timson. To his parent, Randall and Valerie Timson he was called “son”.  To Kelley Mena-Ramos he was called “little bro.” To Grandma Henry he was called “grandson.” To Khan he was called “Big Bro.” To Hannah and Mackenzie he was called “Daddy.” To countless others he was a friend, partner, confidant, pastor and boss.

In his younger days, he dominated every sport he played from basketball to little league baseball. However, if you have ever heard the Darla story you know that wrestling was NOT his sport.  He would tell you that he was an athletic specimen.

Tim accepted the Lord on February 24, 1989. He felt the call to preach soon after and went to several churches holding revivals.  Tim attended Tomlinson College and Lee University receiving a BA degree in Biblical Studies. He completed a 4 year degree in 3 years with a 4.0 GPA, partly to prove to his Dad that he could and also because he could not allow Julia to beat him to graduation. This also mirrors his work ethic and dedication to a tee. Tim went on to youth pastor and pastor for a decade. To those he pastored, they loved him and his ability to make the “hard to understand”~ easy.  He truly believed that Jesus is the answer.

In the last few years, Tim dominated the business world by knocking down every building he could! He would tell his girls every time they passed a vacant building, “I would really like to wreck that place.” This job makes him sound very hard and tough, but when it came to his employees he had a soft spot in his heart. He was driven to make sure they all got 40 hours so that they could feed and meet the needs of their families. He and his partners, Todd and James, would forgo a paycheck to ensure the employees received their money.

Tim never met a problem he was afraid to tackle. He lived life in full on attack mode. He loved his daughters, his parents, his sister and the rest with a veracity that cannot be measured.

Tim had many admirable qualities. His most treasured was joke telling. He loved to make people laugh. Tim will leave a big hole in all of our lives. He was definitely a force to be reckoned with. If he decided to do something, you better help or move out of the way. He found a great helper in his best friend Kim. She was definitely there to help in any way she could.  Kim has been designated as an official family member. Valerie views her as a second daughter and Tim loved her beyond words. Thank you, Kim. We all love you!

If you are here today, you know how much Tim loved you and the impact he made. And if he could talk to you right now he would say, “Did you catch that Cowboys game?” Because win or lose, he always said, “GO COWBOYS!”

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 11am at Glad Tidings Church, 2009 Fullers Cross Road, Ocoee.  The family will receive friends at the church starting at 10am.  Interment will follow in Orlando Memorial Gardens.
