Pauline Bennett

June 1, 1925 — November 6, 2020

Orlando, FL

Friday, November 6, 2020, Pauline (Polly) Wilson Bennett went to be with the Lord.  She lived a long life of 95 years and only recently suffered with vascular dementia.  She was the last living of 11 children born to Rachel Ivy and Henderson Bill Wilson of Glenville, WV.  She was loved by anyone that was blessed to have known her, as she loved deeply, with her whole heart.  A devout Christian woman (Southern Baptist), who we are sure was met at Heaven’s gate with a “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”.  She raised three daughters, upon whom she instilled integrity and strong values.  Her home was always open and very frequently was the gathering place for teenagers, slumber parties, and after church socials.  Polly is survived by daughters, Sharon Bennett / Lou Harrellson, Karen Wehn, Edna Bertrand Bennett; grandchildren, Shane Boniec, Kalain Plummer, John Bertrand, David Bertrand, Peter Bertrand; and great granddaughter, Aurelia Plummer.  Although she considered all family members very special, Janie Johnson, and William (Buddy) Sims were like a daughter and son to her.  They called her Aunt Polly, but loved and cared for her like their own Mother.

She is now soaring with the angels and having a wonderful homecoming with her Mom, Dad, siblings, family, and friends, that were called home before her.

She will be greatly missed until we see her again in heaven, and will be loved always.

Funeral services will be held November 13th, 11am at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Winter Garden Cemetery.

They ask that masks please be worn by all visitors during the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Advent Health Hospice Care, the organization that cared for Pauline and her family during the final chapter of her life.
